Anseong City (Mayor Kim Bo-ra) successfully held the final report meeting for the ‘Industrial Structure Analysis and Key Strategic Industry Research Service’ on the 19th to analyze the manufacturing industry ecosystem in the city and derive a plan to foster key strategic industries.
This report meeting was attended by Mayor Kim Bo-ra, relevant government officials, Gyeonggi Techno Park, Anseong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, labor groups, and the Youth Policy Committee, as well as representatives from the public, private, industrial, and academic sectors, who engaged in in-depth discussions.

As a result of the research service, the three major strategic industries that Anseong City should foster were selected as ▲Other machinery and equipment manufacturing ▲Food manufacturing ▲Semiconductor materials, parts, and equipment industries. Based on this, four major strategies and 20 policy tasks were proposed, and the policy tasks were divided into short-term promotion projects and mid- to long-term review tasks to increase feasibility.
In Part 1, research results were presented and expert advice was given, and in Part 2, a free discussion in the form of a policy forum followed. Participants shared issues and improvement plans for the industrial ecosystem and presented various opinions on specific fostering plans.
Mayor Kim Bo-ra said, “This research project will become the cornerstone for fostering key strategic industries for future generations,” and added, “We will turn the research results into actionable policies to enhance the competitiveness of Anseong’s manufacturing industry and lay the foundation for a sustainable regional economy.”
Anseong City plans to actively utilize the opinions discussed at this report meeting in the final report and in policy making and budget allocation.
