At the 2024 Chungnam Cultural Tourism Interpreter Storytelling Contest, Geumsan-gun Cultural Tourism Interpreter Kim Jeong-yoon won the grand prize . Interpreter Kim captivated the hearts of the audience with his unique presentation and excellent storytelling , and was given the opportunity to promote Geumsan’s cultural value nationwide .

Kim Jeong-yoon, a cultural tourism guide for Geumsan-gun, presented on the topic of ‘ Yongho-seok, Tired of Waiting ’ at the Chungnam Cultural Tourism Guide Storytelling Contest held at Hyejeon University’s main auditorium on the 23rd . Yongho-seok is Geumsan’s representative cultural heritage , a rock steeped in legends and stories . Through this topic, she vividly unraveled the history and stories of Geumsan contained in Yongho-seok . Her presentation received high praise from the audience and judges for its depth of content and interesting delivery .
Since she began her career in 2007 , she has been providing customized commentary to tourists at major tourist attractions in the Geumsan area . This award is considered the result of her long-term efforts and passion to convey the local culture with her witty remarks and passionate enthusiasm .

With this award, she will represent South Chungcheong Province in the 2025 National Cultural Tourism Guide Storytelling Competition . The national competition is an important opportunity to promote regional culture , and she plans to promote Geumsan-gun’s cultural authenticity and excellence nationwide . Guide Kim Jeong-yoon said in her acceptance speech , “ I will use this award as an opportunity to sincerely convey the authenticity and identity of Geumsan culture , as well as the excellence of its cultural tourism, to those who visit Geumsan .” She added , “ I will work hard to make Geumsan a place that people want to visit again . ”
Kim Jeong-yoon’s award is expected to be a new opportunity for the development of Geumsan-gun’s culture and tourism . Her passion is greatly contributing to promoting Geumsan’s unique culture . We look forward to her activities in creating opportunities for Geumsan’s story and charm to be noticed nationwide .
