Geumsan-gun will conduct mobile health checkups in 10 towns and townships from January 2 to 17 next year . Checkups will be held from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. , and will begin at Geumsan-gun Health Center and proceed sequentially to Boksu , Jinsan , Geumseong , Gunbuk , Chubu , Namil , Buri , Nam – i , and Jewon Health Centers .

Those eligible for the checkup are : △ Health Insurance subscribers who are 20 years of age or older and are local subscribers and their dependents ( those born in odd-numbered years ) ; △ All non-office workers among employees who are subscribers ; △ Office workers who are eligible for the biennial checkup, who will receive services such as physical measurements , blood tests , and urine tests .
National cancer screening is conducted with the goal of early detection of cancer . △ Women aged 20 or older born in odd-numbered years can receive cervical cancer screening . △ Women aged 40 or older born in odd-numbered years can receive stomach and breast cancer screening . △ Women aged 50 or older born can receive colon cancer screening .
Residents who wish to be tested must fast after 8:00 PM the day before the test and visit the testing location on the day of the test with their health checkup form and ID .
The mobile health checkup is operated with subsidies from Chungnam Province and is conducted in agreement with the Daejeon – Chungnam branch of the Population Health and Welfare Association . In addition to the checkup, additional checkups are available at 7 designated hospitals including Saegeumsan Hospital . A military official said, “ Health checkups are the most effective way to detect and treat diseases early, ” and asked people to check the checkup schedule for each town and district and actively participate to take care of their health .
