Goyang Special City conducted integrity education for 11 leaders of workplace sports teams. This education was designed to strengthen the leaders’ sense of integrity and responsibility and create a fair and transparent sports culture.

Goyang Special City (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced that it conducted integrity education for 11 leaders of workplace sports teams at the Zoom City conference room in the city hall on the 17th.
This training was designed to help sports leaders understand their duties and rights and to promote a sense of integrity. The lecture was given by Moon Yang-geun, CEO of Mcode Consulting, and was organized around real-life cases to prevent requests and misconduct that may occur within the team.
In addition, lectures were held on the topic of preventing bullying in the workplace and conflict of interest prevention laws, and leaders were encouraged to reflect on the value of integrity and practice it in the field.
This training is expected to serve as an important foundation for sports leaders to build trust with athletes by demonstrating honest leadership and to create a fair sports environment.
Goyang City Hall’s athletics team has achieved outstanding results in various sports and has raised the status of Goyang City. In particular, weightlifter Park Hye-jeong won a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, bringing pride to 1.08 million Goyang citizens.
The sports policy and related officials stated, “This integrity education is intended to help sports leaders demonstrate responsible leadership based on integrity,” and added, “We will continue to provide regular integrity education to create a healthier and more transparent sports culture.”
Goyang City plans to continue to strengthen the ethics and integrity of sports leaders and continue its steady efforts to establish a responsible sports culture.
