Goyang Special City (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 20th that it had finally selected 54 excellent instructors who will be in charge of regular courses in 2025 at the Women’s Center.
In the open recruitment held last October, 181 instructors applied for a total of 99 courses, and the city conducted interviews for candidates who passed the first document screening from December 16 to 18 through an instructor screening committee comprised of external experts in each field.
The regular instructors selected this time will be responsible for regular classes at Goyang City Women’s Center for the entire year of 2025.
The selection process for instructors comprehensively evaluated not only their major and teaching experience, professional qualifications, and teaching ability, but also their qualifications, attitude, and sense of mission as instructors. In particular, existing instructors at the Women’s Center were evaluated according to the same criteria as new applicants to enhance fairness.
The average competition rate for instructor selection this year was calculated to be approximately 2 to 1, and some popular courses recorded a high competition rate of up to 5 to 1, confirming the instructors’ keen interest and enthusiasm for support.
Goyang City Women’s Center selects excellent instructors every year through a transparent and fair evaluation process, and has continuously improved the quality of lectures through student satisfaction surveys, etc.
City officials stated, “This selection of instructors was conducted based on fairness and transparency, and thorough screening was conducted to ensure that excellent instructors can provide high-quality education to citizens,” and “We will continue to do our best to ensure that the Goyang City Women’s Center can establish itself as a citizen-centered educational institution.”
Meanwhile, Goyang City Women’s Center operates various regular classes and actively supports citizens’ self-development and improvement of their quality of life.
