Sejong City’s Saerom-dong is giving residents warm winter memories with splendid nighttime landscape lighting that brightens the night during the year-end and New Year’s holidays. Saerom-dong’s Happy Nurimteo and Happy Garden are transformed into a fantastic light show, captivating the eyes and hearts of citizens.
This lighting installation was planned to provide a space where families, lovers, and friends can make memories during the holiday season. The Happy Nurimteo Square is decorated with a gorgeous Christmas tree, and the Happy Garden features a 100m long street of lights, LED sculptures, and night lights, creating a warm and romantic winter night atmosphere.

The lights are installed on the main walking path connecting Saerom Kindergarten and Haengbok Nurimteo, offering the charm of a peaceful garden during the day and a splendid feast of lights at night. In particular, the LED sculptures add a fairytale-like fun to children and a romantic sensibility to adults, making the walking path a special attraction.
Residents who enjoy night walks are having a great time taking commemorative photos under the bright and warm lights. One resident said, “The lights of the Happy Garden really let me feel the end-of-year atmosphere,” and “It’s fun to take a walk even on a cold winter night.”
Kim Ji-won, the head of Saerom-dong, said, “The end of the year, with the beautiful lights of the Happy Garden, will be a warm and special time for all residents,” and added, “We will continue to prepare various programs and spaces for residents to enjoy together.”
This nighttime landscape lighting will be operated until January of next year, and is expected to provide special winter memories not only to residents of Saerom-dong but also to citizens of nearby areas. The Happy Garden, which shines during Christmas and New Year’s holidays, is becoming a new attraction on winter nights.
