Incheon Dong-gu (District Mayor Kim Chan-jin) announced that it will hold an opening ceremony for the Hwadojin Skating Rink at the North Plaza of Dong-Incheon Station on December 13 and that it will operate for 58 days until February 8 next year. This skating rink will present visitors with fantastic winter memories with an 8 -meter-tall large Christmas tree and gorgeous luminary lights.
The skating rink consists of a 1,800㎡ ice rink and a 450㎡ sledding hill, and there are also auxiliary facilities such as a store. The operating hours are from 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM from Sunday to Thursday, and extended to 10:00 PM on Fridays, Saturdays, and public holidays. The fee is 2,000 won per hour, so you can enjoy it inexpensively.
In particular, through an agreement with the Sumun-tong Food Merchants Association, which is home to many delicious restaurants in Dong-gu, various events will be held at 23 stores, which is expected to contribute to the revitalization of the local commercial district. There are various famous places around the skating rink, such as Hwadojin Park, Baedari, and Song-hyeon Market, providing visitors with a variety of things to enjoy.

Dong-gu District Mayor Kim Chan-jin said, “I hope that the Hwadojin Skating Rink will become a space that provides both residents and visitors with memories of love and happiness,” and added, “I hope that it will be a chance for residents to have a good time and for the surrounding commercial districts to be revitalized.”
