Jongno-gu (Mayor Jeong Moon-heon) will be accepting applications for the 2025 winter semester lifelong education program from December 31 to January 6 next year. This winter semester will be held at the Jongno-gu Lifelong Learning Center from January 20 to March 31, and various liberal arts, arts, and foreign language classes are provided.

Jongno-gu will be accepting applications for the ‘2025 Winter Semester Lifelong Education Program’ from December 31, 2025 to January 6, 2025. This semester will be held from January 20, 2025 to March 31, 2025 at the Jongno-gu Lifelong Learning Center (81 Ihwajang-gil).
This program consists of 14 courses in 6 fields including ‘Humanities and Liberal Arts’, ‘Life and Culture Arts’, and ‘Citizen Leader Capabilities’. In particular, there are various courses such as classical literature classes that are consistently popular among residents, Korean paper crafts, English calligraphy, vocal music pronunciation, oil pastels, basic Chinese and Japanese, and English novel reading.
The class size is from a minimum of 15 to a maximum of 30 students per program, and the tuition fee is 20,000 won. Individuals are responsible for paying for the textbooks and other materials required for learning.
Applications for the course can be made through the Jongno Education Portal Lifelong Education Application page from 10:00 AM on December 31. Applicants are Jongno-gu residents, but if the number of applicants is not met, residents of other districts can also participate. The application results will be individually notified by text message.

A Jongno-gu official said, “Starting in 2025, we plan to operate the lifelong learning center permanently without vacations,” and “We will continue to present high-quality lifelong education programs so that all residents can enjoy the joy of learning by switching from the existing semi-annual operation to quarterly operation.”
