Dongdaemun- gu ( District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung ) will build a sledding hill, a representative family play facility in the winter, on the site of the Jungnangcheon Outdoor Swimming Pool ( Jangan -dong 19-6) and begin operation on December 20 .

The newly built sledding hill has a total area of 3,500 square meters ( approximately 1,060 pyeong ) , and has one large slope and one small slope . In particular, it operates a snow play park and an ice fishing experience center together, providing visitors with a variety of winter outdoor activities . There is also a store and a rest area, and it can accommodate up to 500 people at a time .
The operating hours are from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM . To prevent safety accidents, there is a 10- minute break after every 50 minutes of operation . This is a measure to prevent accidents caused by crowding and to check the safety of the facilities .
In particular, this sledding hill is completely free of charge and is open every day except Monday . The operating period is until February 2 , 2025 , and it is expected to be used as a winter leisure activity space for local residents for about a month and a half .
A Dongdaemun-gu official said, “ We expect this sledding hill to provide special winter memories for families visiting the area, “ and asked, “ As there is no separate parking facility , please use public transportation to prevent congestion . “
