Incheon Metropolitan City Seo-gu (Mayor Kang Beom-seok) announced that the 33rd graduation ceremony of the Senior Citizens’ University (Dean Kim Geon-su) affiliated with the Seo-gu Senior Citizens’ Association (Chairman Jo Jae-gil) of the Korea Senior Citizens’ Association was successfully held on the 18th. This graduation ceremony was followed by academic reports, awarding of diplomas, awards for academic excellence, merit awards, and perfect attendance awards, and congratulatory speeches by distinguished guests, making it a special day for the graduates.

Branch President Cho Jae-gil said, “I would like to express my respect and congratulations to the 109 senior citizens who have graduated,” and added, “The senior citizens’ association will also do its best to ensure that the graduates can enjoy a happy and energetic old age.”

In his congratulatory speech, Seo-gu Mayor Kang Beom-seok quoted the Analects, “A person who only knows is not as good as a person who likes, and a person who likes is not as good as a person who enjoys,” and encouraged them by saying, “I hope you enjoy learning and stay healthy.” He added, “I sincerely congratulate the seniors on their passionate learning and graduation.”
