Hillcrest Christian College, where we participate in joint classes, is a prestigious educational institution in the Gold Coast region of Queensland, Australia, and boasts an innovative and high-quality learning environment.

This agreement was created to provide innovative global learning opportunities using AI and digital devices in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. The aim is to help local students understand global universality and regional specificity and grow into future talents with the ability to solve various international problems.

The classes will be conducted in English and will be operated as international joint video classes on topics such as the culture and history of both countries. In particular, digital devices and eye-tracking AI technology will be used to provide students with personalized assessments and learning analysis.

The district said, “Through international joint learning, students will gain experience in collaborating and communicating with students from other countries, which will increase their learning motivation and participation, and it is expected to improve students’ foreign language skills as well as foster their international thinking and cooperation skills.”

The joint classes will be held at three regional future education centers (▲Smart Yangcheon Future Education Center ▲Mokdong Future Education Center ▲Neureundae Future Education Center) for 4th grade elementary school students in the district. The period will be divided into two semesters of three months each (the first semester from March to June, the second semester from September to December), and 12 students will be recruited for each center.

Meanwhile, the previous agreement signing ceremony was attended by Yangcheon-gu Mayor Lee Ki-jae, Hillcrest Christian College President Jeff Davis, and other officials, and the two institutions agreed to closely cooperate for ▲joint operation of global education programs ▲development of educational content and research cooperation, etc.

Yangcheon-gu Mayor Lee Ki-jae said, “It is very meaningful to provide global educational opportunities to students in the district through this joint agreement,” and added, “We will continue to strengthen global educational cooperation to lead innovative changes in the education sector and become a leader in future innovative education.”
