This year, Yeongdeungpo-gu spared no expense in investing in science education, such as providing 30,000 won worth of ‘science culture vouchers’ to 20,000 elementary and middle school students in the district. In addition, the ‘Yeongdeungpo-type scholarship program’ was launched to provide opportunities for middle school students to visit overseas science institutions. These efforts are expected to make a great contribution to nurturing science talents who will lead the local community in the future.

Mayor Choi Ho-kwon emphasized, “I would like to thank the residents for their interest and support throughout this year, and we will continue to create a path for tangible change and open an era of great transformation in Yeongdeungpo.”
