Yongin Special City (Mayor Lee Sang-il) announced that the Climate Change Experience Education Center PR Center located in Namdong, Cheoin-gu will be temporarily closed from January 1 to February 28 next year. This closure is to carry out remodeling work to upgrade the PR Center with the latest realistic content.

The city will invest 400 million won to create an exhibition utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as live sketches, VR experiences, and graphic walls on the first floor of the PR center. This content is designed to help visitors naturally learn about overcoming the climate crisis and protecting the environment.

Additionally, a realistic video theater will be installed on the second floor to screen video content dealing with the climate crisis phenomenon, and it will be created as a space where visitors can realize the seriousness of environmental issues through visual experiences.

The PR Center is closed, but the education center rental and special programs will operate normally. Yongin Special City plans to continue rental operations to minimize inconvenience to groups and citizens using the center.

City officials said, “We have decided to temporarily suspend the operation of the public relations center in order to make the Climate Change Experience Education Center a more substantial facility,” and “We will reopen it as a space that can more effectively convey the message of overcoming the climate crisis.”
