Yongin Special City announced that it held a special concert on the 20th with the theme of ‘Christmas in the Forest of Books’ to celebrate the first Christmas since the opening of Dongcheon Library. This event was a program that the whole family could enjoy together, and it presented a warm year-end atmosphere through various winter-friendly musical performances and a citizen wish tree event.
The concert was held at the Dongcheon Library Book Yard, and the ‘Live Performance Team’ performed a variety of performances including carols, new age music, and movie OSTs, receiving a great response from the citizens. The concert was held in a participatory manner, and many Yongin citizens participated, creating warm Christmas memories.
In addition, Dongcheon Library ran the ‘Dongcheon Library WISH TREE’ event where citizens wrote down their wishes for the new year or what they wanted from the library and hung them on the wish tree. The library was filled with a year-end atmosphere as the wish cards written by citizens themselves were hung on the wish tree.
A library official said, “This concert is a special event prepared to express our gratitude to the citizens who use Dongcheon Library,” and “Dongcheon Library, which operates the urban forest as its special theme, will continue to plan and operate various programs for citizens to enjoy at the library.”
This event was a program that was in harmony with the specialized urban forest concept of Dongcheon Library, and it received a great response as it provided special memories to citizens at the end of the year.
