Asan City Government Employees’ Labor Union (Chairman Park Min-sik, hereinafter referred to as Asan City Government Employees’ Labor Union) announced on the 30th that it selected Team Leader Song Hyeon-jung of the Future City Management Division as the ‘2024 Exemplary Government Employee’ and held a plaque presentation ceremony.

The exemplary civil servants selected by the Agongno are selected through a survey in which union members directly participate. The selection criteria are conducted in a way that evaluates their contributions to creating a democratic and considerate organizational culture, practicing camaraderie, and improving a reasonable work environment and establishing a desirable labor-management culture. Only one exemplary civil servant is selected each year from this survey conducted on union members at the level of team leader level 6 or higher.
In 2024, team leader Song Hyeon-jung, team leader Park Seong-sun of the Citizen Communication Office, team leader Choi Jun-hee of the Architecture Department, team leader Choi Myeong-un of the Health Administration Department, team leader Kang Tae-seong of the Sports Promotion Department, team leader Kim Yeong-man of the Road Facilities Department, and team leader Moon Je-il of the Agricultural Administration Department were recommended by union members.
Team Leader Song Hyeon-joong was finally selected as a model civil servant with high evaluations from the members of the Agongno Union. He said, “It is an honor to be selected as a model civil servant, but on the other hand, it is also embarrassing,” and “I feel embarrassed because the role that I should naturally do as a team leader seems to have been exaggerated. I will continue to contribute to the formation of an organizational culture through continuous communication.”
Commissioner Park Min-sik of the Agonno Committee said, “I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the team leaders who were recommended as exemplary civil servants,” and added, “All of those selected as exemplary civil servants are respected within the organization, and the more such people there are, the more rational and fair the organization will grow.” He added, “I hope that more civil servants will be recommended as exemplary civil servants in the future.”
Every year, Agongno discovers positive examples within the organization through exemplary civil servants and, through these, spreads a democratic and considerate organizational culture.
