Asan City announced that it will begin concentrated distribution of the senior citizen filial piety privilege vouchers in the first half of 2025 on January 2.
This preferential filial piety coupon is given to senior citizens aged 65 or older (born before December 31, 1959) who are registered residents of Asan City, and 10 coupons are distributed per person. Each coupon is worth 4,000 won and can be used at bathhouses and beauty salons in the city.

To receive the filial piety privilege, you must visit the administrative welfare center in your township or district with your ID. If a family member receives the privilege on your behalf, the proxy’s ID must be submitted along with the recipient’s ID and seal.
Even after the January distribution period, you can still receive the vouchers throughout the year, and the validity period for the filial piety preferential vouchers distributed this time is until December 31, 2025.
Kim Eun-seong, head of the Asan City Senior Citizens and Disabled Persons Division, said, “The senior filial piety preferential support project is our city’s representative senior welfare policy, and it is contributing to improving the health and welfare of seniors,” adding, “We will do our best to ensure that seniors can continue to live healthier and more active lives through this in 2025 as well.”
Asan City began supporting preferential filial piety rights by enacting the “Asan City Elderly Bathing and Hair and Beauty Expenses Support Ordinance” in 2011. The purpose of this project is to reduce the financial burden on the elderly and help them enjoy a respected old age within the local community.
Meanwhile, the filial piety preferential voucher can be used at registered bathhouses and beauty salons in the region, and is having a positive effect on improving the convenience of senior citizens’ lives and revitalizing the local economy.
