At this report meeting, the results of the inspection of the status of 35 drainage pump stations in the city and improvement measures were shared, and discussions were held to strengthen safety and efficiency.

Goyang Special City (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced that it held the **’Goyang City Drainage Pump Station Equipment Performance Diagnosis Service Final Report Meeting’** at the city hall disaster situation room on the 24th.
About 20 people, including disaster response officers and safety management advisors, attended this report meeting, and the results of the drainage pump station equipment diagnosis and improvement measures were shared. In addition, the participants exchanged various opinions through Q&A and discussed practical and efficient improvement measures.
◆ Purpose and results of performance diagnosis of drainage pump station equipment
This performance diagnosis service was conducted to comprehensively inspect the aging facilities of 35 drainage pump stations in Goyang City and derive improvement measures.
The diagnosis results showed that some drainage pump stations require replacement of high-efficiency separators and installation of UPS (uninterruptible power supply) equipment status monitoring systems. Accordingly, the city plans to implement improvement measures in stages.
◆ Strengthening safety and efficiency through facility improvement
Replacing high-efficiency separators is an important improvement measure that can improve the operational efficiency of the drainage pumping station and enhance the durability of the equipment. In addition, it is expected that the UPS equipment status monitoring system will enable real-time monitoring of the power supply status, enabling a quick response to emergency situations.
◆ Citizen safety and property protection are top priorities
Park Sung-wan, the disaster response officer, said, **“We will actively reflect the expert opinions derived from this performance diagnosis to improve the drainage pump station facilities and establish a stable operation system,” and **“We will continue to conduct thorough safety management and continuous facility inspections to protect the lives and property of citizens.”**
◆ Ongoing management and inspection plan
Based on the results of this performance diagnosis, Goyang City plans to establish a step-by-step facility improvement plan and optimize the function of the drainage pump station through periodic inspections and maintenance.
If the improvement measures derived from this report are quickly reflected in the field, it is expected that a more stable and rapid response system will be established in the event of a disaster.
