Incheon Gyeyang-gu paid tribute to the patriotic ancestors and the spirits of those who protected the country by visiting the Hwang-eo Market March 1st Independence Movement Monument on the first day of the new year of the year of Eulsa. On the first day of the new year in 2025, Gyeyang-gu Mayor Yoon Hwan, along with Gyeyang-gu officials and heads of social organizations, visited the Hwang-eo Market March 1st Independence Movement Monument to pay their respects. They paid tribute to the spirits of the patriotic ancestors and the spirits of the heroes who sacrificed themselves for the country, and offered flowers and incense.

In particular, before the visit, Mayor Yoon Hwan set aside a moment of silence to remember those who died in the recent Jeju Air passenger plane crash. He said, “As we enter the new year, we will not forget the sacrifices of the past, empathize with the sadness of the present, and create a more hopeful and peaceful future for Gyeyang-gu.”
