Yongin Special City (Mayor Lee Sang-il) signed a three-party business agreement for fire prevention with local fire departments and seven major logistics warehouses on the 27th. This agreement was created to reduce damage to life and property caused by large-scale fires and to create a safe logistics environment.
Major logistics warehouses in the region participated in this agreement, including ▲CJ Korea Express Yangji Center ▲CJ Korea Express Baekam Center ▲Yongma Logistics Yangji Center ▲Maersk Contract Logistics Korea Baekam Center ▲Assist Korea Yangji Center ▲Dongwon Loex Baekam Center ▲Coupang Logistics Service Giheung Center.
The main contents of the agreement are to minimize damage to life and property by establishing a cooperative system for rapid and effective response in the event of a fire and strengthening voluntary safety management. Each organization will establish a safety inspection and education system for fire prevention, rapid reporting, and joint response in the event of a fire.
The city has been continuously expanding cooperation with local logistics warehouses since the beginning of this year. In January, agreements were signed with three logistics warehouses, and in July, six. Through this agreement with seven warehouses, systematic fire prevention and response systems have been established in more facilities.
City officials said, “Fires that occur in large logistics warehouses can cause significant damage, so thorough prevention and response measures are important,” adding, “We will do our best to strengthen safety management through close cooperation with fire departments and logistics centers and minimize damage to life and property in the region.”
This agreement is expected to contribute to further strengthening the regional safety net of Yongin Special City and realizing sustainable safety management.
