Yangcheon-gu (District Mayor Lee Ki-jae) announced that it will be dispatching expert instructors to 30 elementary schools in the district through the ‘2025 Cultural Arts and Creative Experience Collaborating Instructor Support Project’, which discovers local talent with expertise in each field as collaborative instructors and links and supports them with schools.

This year, the recruitment period for cooperative instructors will be until the 10th of this month, and considering the school’s instructor demand, we will select skilled professional instructors in a total of 7 fields: ▲Future Education ▲Ecological Environment ▲Art ▲Music ▲Physical Education ▲Korean Language ▲Creative Experience.

The detailed operating areas include ▲coding, drones ▲village tours, ecological transition education ▲crafts, design, cartoon illustrations, calligraphy ▲traditional Korean music, Nanta, children’s songs, ocarina, ukulele ▲broadcast dance, soccer, line dance, sports stacking ▲theater, storytelling ▲traditional games, board games, cup ta, hand knitting, etc., for a total of about 60 categories.

Qualifications for applying as a cooperating instructor include those with a major or experience in the field of recruitment or those with related qualifications, and those who can participate in required workshops and capacity building training programs operated by the district. There are no regional restrictions, but Yangcheon-gu residents will receive extra points. If you wish to apply, refer to the notice board on the district office website, fill out the application form, and submit it to the person in charge by email along with supporting documents.

Before starting full-scale activities, the district plans to hold a preliminary workshop for selected cooperative instructors to foster basic skills and strengthen capabilities.

Meanwhile, the cooperative instructor support project introduced in 2017 is greatly contributing to the development of students’ creativity and artistry as well as improving the quality of classes by dispatching specialized instructors of various subjects to schools, and is also establishing itself as a new career development venue along with the creation of local jobs. A total of 1,052 cooperative instructors have been selected so far, and about 420 of them have given lectures tailored to each school.

Yangcheon-gu Mayor Lee Ki-jae said, “The cooperative instructor support project is a meaningful project that enriches the public education curriculum with high-quality educational programs,” and added, “We will continue to support the discovery and operation of substantial educational programs that help develop the infinite potential and creativity of our children, so that Yangcheon can become a city where the potential of future talents blossoms.”
