Seongnam City has announced the approval of the project implementation plan for the Sujin 1 redevelopment project, which is the core of the 2030-1st stage redevelopment project being promoted in the Sujin-dong area of Sujeong-gu. With the full-scale promotion of the project, the old residential environment is expected to be improved and the quality of life for residents is expected to be enhanced.

Seongnam City (Mayor Shin Sang-jin) announced on the 30th that it had issued a public notice of approval for the Sujin 1 redevelopment project at 963 Sujin-dong, Sujeong-gu. This project is part of the 2030-1 stage redevelopment project and is the starting point for a large-scale improvement of Seongnam City’s aging residential environment.
According to the approved business implementation plan, the total area of the redevelopment area is 261,831.4㎡, and 59 apartment buildings (4,844 households) with 7 underground floors and 15 above-ground floors and 216 officetel households are scheduled to be built.
In addition, various auxiliary welfare facilities such as a path center, a daycare center, a small library, and a resident exercise facility, as well as neighborhood living facilities and sales facilities, are expected to be built, greatly improving the convenience of residents’ lives.
As part of efforts to improve the living environment, a neighborhood park measuring 15,974 m2 will be created to provide a pleasant outdoor activity space and convenience facilities, and a 3,100 m2 outdoor parking lot will also be built to alleviate parking difficulties for residents.
The Sujin 1 redevelopment project site is adjacent to Sujin Station on Subway Line 8, and Moran Station and Taepyeong Station on the Suin Bundang Line are located 5 minutes away, boasting excellent public transportation accessibility. It is convenient for moving to major areas such as Gangnam and Songpa, and is evaluated as a transportation hub due to easy access to the Bundang-Suseo Expressway.
A Seongnam City official said, “The Sujin 1 redevelopment project is an important project that will improve the old and poor residential environment and significantly raise the standard of living of residents,” adding, “This will be the opportunity for the 2030-1 stage redevelopment project to be fully implemented, contributing to Seongnam City’s balanced urban development.”
The Sujin 1 redevelopment project is a plan that provides both transportation and living convenience, and is expected to provide a better quality of life for existing residents and an attractive living environment for new residents.
