Geumsan-gun, 47 billion won investment, Sangri District New Village project begins in earnest

Geumsan-gun is embarking on the Sangni District New Village Project, investing a total of KRW 47 billion from 2025 to 2029 to significantly improve the living environment of aging residential areas and promote regional revitalization . This project is expected to revitalize the local community by creating various resident convenience facilities such as parks , parking lots , roads , and shared facilities .

Geumsan-gun plans to solve the problems of outdated residential environment and insufficient living infrastructure through the Sangri District New Village Project, which has passed the deliberation of the Local Urban Regeneration Committee . This project focuses on expanding public infrastructure and improving the quality of life for residents .

The park, which will be built on a 2,758㎡ site, will add comfort to the once desolate residential area and will also reduce noise and fine dust . In addition, the Ssamji Park, which combines sports facilities and children’s play facilities, is expected to contribute to the leisure activities of residents and community activation .

In order to resolve the parking shortage, 215 parking spaces will be newly built . Among these, the building-type parking lot will be designed as a two- story building , accommodating a total of 84 vehicles , and the latest smart parking system will be introduced to implement efficient space management . In addition, a 56 -space structure-type parking lot and a street parking lot will be additionally built .

Narrow alleys will be renovated and facilities for the safety of vulnerable road users will be improved . Various projects, including the installation of security lights and road maintenance, will be promoted to improve the lack of public facilities other than welfare facilities for the elderly .

Park Beom-in, the governor of Geumsan County, said , “ Through the Geumsan County Sangri District New Village Development Project, we will supply public infrastructure to the long-awaited project site of Geumsan County, and We will do our best to improve the living environment of the old low-rise residential area and revitalize the local economy . Geumsan County plans to inject new vitality into the local community through this project .
