Incheon Metropolitan City Seo-gu (District Mayor Kang Beom-seok) announced that it is recruiting communities to participate in the 2025 Village Community Creation Support Project, where residents discuss and solve local issues on their own. This project was designed to create a local network through communication and cooperation among residents and create a happy village where people live together.

The support project is divided into four types according to the community’s activity stage and goals.
First, the initial sustainability type supports the initial activities of small-scale resident groups and is provided with a budget of up to 1 million won. The growth and development type supports thematic activities with up to 3 million won, and the social economy transformation type provides consulting support for transition to a social economy organization and up to 5 million won. Lastly, the network support type for activating networks between communities is provided with up to 10 million won.
The application period is from January 2nd to 24th, and any group of three or more residents who live or work in Seo-gu, Incheon can apply.
A business briefing session will be held at the Seogu Social Economy Village Support Center on January 10 to provide detailed information on the business and guidance on the support process. In addition, a pre-consultation for applicants will be held from January 13 to 20 to help participating communities make specific plans.

The West is also recruiting village support activists to help resident groups participating in village community support projects. The application period is the same as the community recruitment period, and residents who have experience participating in village community public contests in the West or Incheon Metropolitan City or have equivalent activity experience can apply.
Community support activists are responsible for assisting each community’s activities, supporting the progress of projects, and promoting cooperation among residents.
A Seo-gu official said, “The village community creation support project is a process of solving local problems with residents at the center and creating a culture of cooperation and communication,” adding, “We hope that many residents will participate and create a happy Seo-gu together.”
