'Jungrang Startup Support Center Complex Project' Full-scale Promotion

Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) has started full-scale project promotion as the Seoul Metropolitan Government approved and announced the business plan for the ‘Jungnang Startup Support Center Complex Project’ on December 26. This project aims to build a complex facility that combines a startup support center, job-linked support housing, and resident convenience facilities. The ‘Jungnang Startup Support Center Complex Project’ will be built on a site of 195-3, Sinnae-dong with a total floor area of 16,419㎡, 2 underground floors, and 12 above-ground floors. Construction is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2025 and be completed in 2028. The 12th floor above-ground will house the startup support center and resident convenience facilities, and the 3rd to 12th floors will house a total of 141 units of job-linked support housing where entrepreneurs can both live and work.

The Startup Support Center will provide comprehensive support to entrepreneurs with various facilities such as collaboration spaces, communication spaces, photo studios, and concentration spaces. In addition, living SOC facilities for the convenience of residents will be built, so that it can be used as a space where local residents and entrepreneurs can coexist. Jungnang-gu has been operating the Startup Support Center at the SKV1 Knowledge Industry Center since 2022 and has been working hard to discover promising companies, and this complex project is expected to expand this and contribute to the creation of a startup ecosystem and revitalization of the local economy.

Ryu Gyeong-gi, the head of Jungnang-gu District Office, said, “This complex project is the result of efforts to foster the area around Sinnae IC as a new economic growth hub,” and “Once the project is completed, it is expected to greatly contribute to strengthening the startup ecosystem and regional competitiveness.”
