Geumsan-gun will be promoting practical agricultural education for the new year from January 7 to 23 , 2025 to help local farmers establish farming plans and strengthen the competitiveness of specialized crops . This training, which focuses on perilla leaves , ginseng , and red peppers , plans to transfer core technologies that can actively respond to changes in the agricultural environment .

Geumsan-gun plans to increase farmers’ income and strengthen regional agricultural competitiveness through the New Year’s practical agricultural education consisting of three courses: perilla leaf , ginseng , and red pepper . Perilla leaf education will be conducted as a traveling education at town / district administrative welfare centers and Chubu Cultural Center , while ginseng and red pepper education will be conducted as group education at Geumsan-gun Agricultural Technology Center and Geumsan Darakwon .
The perilla leaf education will begin at the Chubu Cultural Center on January 8 and continue to the Burimyeon Administrative Welfare Center on January 22. It will be held in turn at administrative welfare centers and cultural centers in Geumseong , Maninsan , Namil , Geumsan – eup , Nami , Jewon , Jinsan , Boksu , and Gunbuk . Ginseng education will be held at the Geumsan Darakwon Small Performance Hall on January 7 , and red pepper education will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on January 23 at the Geumsan Agricultural Technology Center .
Anyone who is a resident of Geumsan County can participate in this training . You can visit the training center according to your schedule without making a reservation in advance . A county official said , “ Through the New Year’s Practical Farmer Training, you will be able to actively respond to the changing agricultural environment ,” and “ We hope that through the interest and participation of many farmers, this will lead to an increase in actual income and the development of local agriculture . ”
Geumsan County plans to provide farmers with opportunities to secure competitiveness in regional specialty items , learn new agricultural technologies, and grow through this training . It is expected that this practical training, which aims to improve the sustainability and competitiveness of Geumsan agriculture, will be successfully completed .
