Anseong City, Hankyung National University and Children and Social Welfare Meal Management Support Center Sign Re-Entrustment Agreement

Anseong City announced on the 16th that it signed an agreement for the re-entrustment of the operation of the Children and Social Welfare Meal Management Support Center with the Hankyung National University Industry-Academic Cooperation Group. Through this agreement, Hankyung National University will be in charge of the operation of the center for three years starting in January 2025, and plans to expand the support target from the existing children’s meal service center to social welfare meal service centers including vulnerable groups such as the elderly and the disabled.

The center focuses on improving the safety and quality of cafeterias through ▲ surveys on hygiene and nutrition management at cafeterias ▲ hygiene and nutrition consulting ▲ provision of menus and recipes ▲ customized education, etc.

Currently, Anseong City Children’s Meal Management Support Center is in charge of providing meal hygiene and nutrition management support to 173 daycare centers and kindergartens with less than 100 children. This agreement is expected to expand the scope of meal management, thereby improving the nutritional and hygiene levels of vulnerable groups and creating a safe eating environment.

An Anseong City official said, “This agreement is an important turning point for improving the safety and nutritional status of meals for vulnerable groups,” and added, “We will continue to provide support to create a healthy and happy meal environment for everyone.”
