Anseong City (Mayor Kim Bo-ra) held the ‘2024 Wage and Collective Agreement Signing Ceremony’ with the Pyeongtaek-Anseong Regional Labor Union on the 18th. The main contents of this agreement include creating a fair work environment, such as a 2.5% increase in base pay and an expansion of the pay gap for field and technical workers.
In particular, practical measures to improve the working environment were prepared, such as expanding shortened working hours and granting discretion over medical check-up times, focusing on maternal protection and childcare issues.
Anseong City and the union had difficulties such as breakdown in negotiations and strike notices, but they successfully concluded the agreement through seven rounds of wage negotiations and one round of collective bargaining.
Mayor Kim Bo-ra said, “We will provide better administrative services to citizens through agreements that improve both citizen welfare and workers’ working conditions.”
