Anseong City paid a total of 17.6 billion won in basic public service direct payments to 11,272 farmers in the region in 2024. The public service direct payment system is a system designed to strengthen the public service functions of agriculture and rural areas and support stable income for farmers. Payments are made upon farmers meeting qualification requirements and complying with compliance requirements.
This public direct payment is divided into small-scale direct payment and area direct payment, and in the case of small-scale direct payment, 1.3 million won was paid per farm household. This is an increase of 100,000 won from the previous 1.2 million won starting this year. Area direct payment is paid at a differentiated unit price according to the farmland area section, and recipients must meet 17 conditions, including maintaining the shape and function of the farmland and complying with pesticide safety standards.

An Anseong City official said, “This year’s direct payments are expected to be of real help to farmers who have suffered from natural disasters such as heavy snow damage,” and “We will continue to prepare various support measures to stabilize farmers’ income and improve their welfare.”
In addition, transparency and fairness were secured through a thorough verification process for this direct payment, and strict standards were applied to reduce part or all of the payment amount if the recipient violates the compliance requirements.
Anseong City plans to implement various policies to enhance the sustainability of agriculture and rural areas along with continuous improvement of the public direct payment system.
