Goyang City Disabled Sports Association and Goyang Industrial Promotion Agency K-High-Tech Platform Support Group signed a business agreement to eliminate the digital divide and expand educational opportunities for disabled athletes. The two organizations agreed to cooperate in the development of disabled sports through cutting-edge technology experience programs.

On the 13th, Goyang City Disabled Sports Association (Chairman Lee Dong-hwan), Goyang Industrial Promotion Agency (Director Han Dong-gyun), and K-Hi-Tech Platform Support Team (Director Kim Jong-sang) signed a business agreement at Goyang Drone Anchor Center to eliminate the digital divide for disabled athletes and provide opportunities to experience cutting-edge technologies.
This agreement aims to actively utilize digital technology to develop sports for the disabled in preparation for the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution and to establish a foundation for sustainable development through cooperation between the two organizations.
The main contents of the agreement include: △provision of digital infrastructure and educational opportunities for the disabled in Goyang City, △program exchange to eliminate the digital divide among disabled athletes, and △support for sports activities based on cutting-edge technology.
After the signing ceremony, the K-Hi-Tech Platform Support Group conducted a facility tour of the Goyang Drone Anchor Center and a drone piloting experience program for Goyang City Disabled Sports Association staff and disabled athletes.
Kim Jong-sang, head of the K-Hi-Tech Platform Support Group, mentioned the experience of operating a drone experience program for 1,862 students in 24 middle schools in Goyang City last year, and said that this year, it was expanded to include after-school programs at specialized high schools and youth training centers. He expressed great satisfaction with the fact that this agreement will allow full-scale support for strengthening the digital capabilities of disabled athletes.
Jang Young-dong, the director of the Goyang City Disabled Sports Association, emphasized the need to secure new sports experience and training facilities based on cutting-edge technology, and mentioned the importance of creating an environment where disabled athletes can more easily access digital sports. He added that various efforts should continue in the future to foster professional athletes, such as drone soccer and drone basketball.
Through this agreement, Goyang City Disabled Sports Association and Goyang Industrial Promotion Agency plan to promote various programs to eliminate the digital divide among disabled athletes and to enable the practical application of digital technology in sports activities.
