Goyang Special City (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced that it will extend the use period of the ‘Youth Culture and Arts Pass’, which provides 150,000 won in subsidies per person to 19-year-old youth (born in 2005), until February 28, 2025.

The ‘Youth Culture and Arts Pass’ is a project that was first implemented this year, and was designed to help young people enjoy a variety of cultural and artistic content and improve their quality of life. Those eligible for support can enjoy a wide range of pure arts, including plays, classical music, opera, ballet, and traditional Korean music, as well as popular music performances such as concerts.

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the budget runs out, and tickets can be used until February 28, 2025, based on the viewing date. Anyone born in 2005 can apply, regardless of income, and can easily apply through the affiliated ticket sales outlets Interpark and YES24 homepages and mobile applications.

This year, a total of 3,468 young people in Goyang City are expected to receive support benefits through the Youth Culture and Arts Pass.

City officials said, “We hope that the Youth Culture and Arts Pass will provide 19-year-old youth with the opportunity to experience various cultures and arts and serve as an opportunity to revitalize the culture and arts market,” adding, “We plan to actively support so that more young people can benefit.”

Goyang City plans to continue to provide various support measures so that young people can enjoy better lives through culture and arts.
