Incheon Dong-gu (District Mayor Kim Chan-jin) announced that it will provide a 10% discount on annual environmental improvement fee payments to diesel vehicle owners in the district. This system was created to reduce the burden on payers and encourage voluntary payment.
The annual payment of environmental improvement charges is a system that allows you to pay the charges that are imposed twice a year in March and September in one payment in January with a 10% discount. Applicants for this annual payment are owners of diesel vehicles registered in Dong-gu from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. Applications can be made through the Dong-gu Office Environmental Sanitation Division (770-6504) until the 31st of this month, and payment will be made from January 16th to the 31st. Payment methods can be checked on the notice or through Wetax (www.wetax.go.kr).
Owners of diesel vehicles who have already paid their annual premiums last year will receive an annual premium notice without a separate application. If the vehicle ownership status changes due to scrapping or address change after the annual premium payment, the premium can be calculated and paid based on the period of ownership. However, if you do not pay within the deadline after applying, the annual premium application will be automatically cancelled and you will not be able to receive the discount, so please be careful.
