On the 26th, Jung-gu, Seoul held a luncheon meeting with the heads of the cooperatives and resident representatives of 10 housing development projects in the district. Attending the meeting were Jung-gu Mayor Kim Gil-seong, Shindang District 10 cooperative head Lee Chang-woo, Shindang District 9 cooperative head Yoon Tae-kwon, Shindang District 8 cooperative head Lee Jeong-su, and Jungnim-dong 398 redevelopment cooperative head Kim Do-hyeong.
This meeting was organized to share the achievements of this year’s Jung-gu type public support project and exchange opinions on the expanded public support model to be promoted next year.
Jung-gu has successfully established a Jung-gu-type public support model by achieving major results this year, such as the direct establishment of the Jungnim-dong 398 cooperative, the designation of the Yaksu-dong public housing complex project complex area, and the selection of the designer for Shindang District 10. In particular, it was announced that more systematic and expanded support is planned for next year, such as the permanent establishment of redevelopment expert consultation.
Kim Do-hyung, head of the Jungnim-dong 398 redevelopment association, said, “We have received real benefits through the Jung-gu type public support, and if this model is applied next year, we expect there will be no difficulties in selecting partner companies, etc.”
In addition, Lee Chang-woo, head of the Sindang 10th District Union, added, “Thanks to the symbolism of being the ‘first in rapid integration,’ other regions are also showing a lot of interest in the Jung-gu type public support model,” and “I hope this model will spread throughout Seoul.”
Kim Gil-seong, the mayor of Jung-gu, emphasized, “Jung-gu-type public support is a result that reflects the real needs of residents, and the satisfaction level is very high,” and “We will continue to strengthen and expand public support by paying more careful attention to what residents need.”
This meeting was an opportunity to confirm the successful establishment of the central district public support model, and further strengthened support measures are expected next year.
