Lee Jin-gyu, the president of the Chungcheongbuk-do Foot Volleyball Association, officially declared his candidacy for the 3rd President of the Korea Foot Volleyball Association and presented an innovative vision for the development of foot volleyball . He expressed his will to promote harmony among the 17 cities and provinces , increase the transparency of the association’s operations , and achieve balanced development of professional and recreational sports .
The chairman proposed various development plans along with the establishment of a systematic system to solve the major issues currently facing the foot volleyball world . In particular , he promised to transparently disclose the association’s budget and settlement of accounts , and clearly disclose administrative support funds , competition support budgets , and referee and coach education expenses . In addition , he plans to strengthen ties between provincial member organizations by holding quarterly meetings of the executive board and meetings of referees and game directors .

He also emphasized a policy that encompasses both recreational sports and professional sports to promote foot volleyball . He presented a vision to raise the public awareness of foot volleyball by promoting broadcast competitions and amateur competitions , and to promote its advancement to professional sports through adoption as an official event in the National Sports Festival, establishment of a professional federation, and continued promotion of the Korea League .
Improving the referee and leadership system based on transparency and trust
Chairman Lee, who expressed his will to strengthen transparency in the referee promotion review and operation process, said that he would expand referee training by region and strengthen the authority of coaches to solidify the role of coaches in competitions . He also added that he plans to expand opportunities for young people to experience foot volleyball , especially through after-school teacher dispatches .
Internationalization Vision : Adoption of Foot Volleyball as an Official Olympic and Asian Games Event
The chairman also presented a blueprint to develop foot volleyball into a global sport . He expressed his ambition to have foot volleyball recognized by the IOC and OCA and have it adopted as an official event in the Olympics and Asian Games .
Providing a place for unity and harmony
He emphasized that he would strengthen solidarity within the foot volleyball community through a festival with referees and coaches from all over the country , and expand the base of foot volleyball by promoting various competition programs including year-end playoffs . Chairman Lee Jin-gyu expressed his strong will, saying , “ The development of foot volleyball begins with transparency and harmony ,” and “ I will make the Korea Foot Volleyball Association a stronger and more trustworthy organization . ” If his pledge is realized , foot volleyball in Korea is expected to take a leap forward in both recreational and professional sports, and raise its status on the domestic and international sports stages .
