Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Lee Ki-jae) announced on the 6th that it will hold a New Year’s greeting event at the Yangcheon Cultural Center Grand Theater at 3 PM on the 7th (Tuesday) to share Yangcheon-gu’s vision and major policies to celebrate the new year of 2025, the Year of the Snake (乙巳年).

This year’s New Year’s greetings event will be attended by approximately 1,000 local figures and residents, and will be a meaningful event that will present a vision for the future of Yangcheon, like the powerful energy of the blue snake in 2025. Anyone can participate as it will be live-streamed through the Yangcheon-gu Office official YouTube channel.
In particular, Mayor Lee Ki-jae will introduce the district’s vision and key business plans for 2025 through his New Year’s address and have time to communicate with residents.
On this day, the district head plans to present the direction of district administration to be pursued this year, including: △creating an environment conducive to raising children, △establishing a thick and tight welfare safety net, △strengthening public education outside of school and fostering future talent, △establishing a foundation for revitalizing the local economy and creating jobs, △supporting the strengthening of youth entrepreneurship capabilities, and △creating a luxury residential city.
Yangcheon-gu Mayor Lee Ki-jae said, “Over the past two years and six months, we have made many changes together with our residents to create a new, futuristic city.” He added, “This year as well, we will prioritize the happiness of our residents and complete tasks for the development of Yangcheon without a hitch, creating a Yangcheon city where people want to live and look forward to tomorrow.”
