Ongjin County (Governor Moon Kyung-bok) will be accepting applications for the 2025 West Sea Five Islands Old Housing Improvement Project through each district office from January 6 to January 31.
The West Sea 5 Islands Old Housing Improvement Project aims to improve the living environment of old and substandard housing in the West Sea 5 Islands, including Yeonpyeong-myeon, Baekryeong-myeon, and Daecheong-myeon. This project, which has been implemented from 2012 to 2024, is being carried out with 1,368 households in order to improve the quality of life of residents and create a comfortable housing culture.
This project targets residents who have lived in the West Sea 5 Islands for more than 6 months and own old houses that were completed more than 20 years ago. If you remodel or renovate a house within the existing area, the county will support 80% of the total construction cost, and residents only have to pay 20%. The subsidy is up to 40 million won.
