Sejong Special Self-Governing City Waterworks and Sewerage Authority declared environmental, social and governance (ESG) management with the vision of ‘Sejong’s clean water guaranteed by safety and quality’ to realize sustainable management.
On the 9th, the Waterworks and Sewerage Corporation held an environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management declaration ceremony in the small auditorium of the Jochiwon Complex Community Center, with around 60 former employees, including Director Lee Dong-yoon, in attendance.
The Waterworks and Sewerage Authority has set forth the following goals: ▲Establishing an eco-friendly management system for sustainable growth (E), ▲Fulfilling social responsibility based on coexistence and safety (S), and ▲Fair and transparent management that citizens can trust (G).
In particular, we recognize the importance of environmental conservation for future generations and plan to practice eco-friendly management with the goal of efficient management of water resources, energy conservation, and reduction of environmental pollutants.

We also plan to continue various social contribution activities to provide safe and clean water to citizens and grow together with the local community.
Director of Waterworks and Sewerage Lee Dong-yoon said, “The declaration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management contains our office’s will to practice eco-friendly and sustainable water management and coexist with the local community,” adding, “We promise to internalize and practice this throughout the organization to become a more trustworthy public corporation.”
Meanwhile, at the declaration ceremony held on this day, ESG management capacity enhancement and ethics training were conducted to build consensus among all employees.
