Incheon Namdong-gu Health Center’s Seochang Health Life Support Center announced on the 19th that it held the ‘2024 Second Half Community Rehabilitation Council ‘ meeting .
The Community Rehabilitation Council is a public – private council organized to support the rehabilitation and social reintegration of people with disabilities , and aims to establish integrated rehabilitation services through cooperation with relevant organizations within the region .
This meeting was organized to review the performance of community-centered rehabilitation projects in the second half of 2024 and discuss ways to build an efficient cooperative system and operate rehabilitation projects in 2025 .
The meeting was attended by practitioners and experts from Namdong-gu Public Health Center, Gachon University Gil Hospital , the local administrative welfare center , and middle schools affiliated with the rehabilitation project, and in-depth discussions were held .

Gachon University Gil Hospital, which participated in the council, provides advice on assessing the health status of rehabilitation project recipients and establishing rehabilitation training plans through monthly rehabilitation consultations , and the local administrative welfare center discovers recipients of the home-visit rehabilitation service, which is operated to rehabilitate disabled people who have difficulty visiting the center, and regularly refers them to the public health center .

In particular, Namdong-gu Public Health Center is the only one in the country to operate a youth group rehabilitation classroom, a cognitive and perceptual ability improvement program for special class students in middle and high schools in the district , so this council held a case conference on disabled students and discussed the direction of efficient program operation .
An official from the Namdong-gu Public Health Center said, “ We will continue to actively discover disabled people in medical blind spots through the Rehabilitation Council and do our best to build an organic cooperation system so that disabled people in the community can lead better lives .”
