Shin San-hee and Hyun Jun-ha, tennis players from Sejong Special Self-Governing City, raised the status of Sejong tennis by winning the doubles championship at the **’2024 3rd Korea Professional Tennis Federation Tournament’** held in Yanggu, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province on the 24th.
This competition was a place to develop Korean professional tennis and compete against each other, and 88 skilled players (48 men, 40 women) from all over the country gathered to compete. In the doubles final, Shin San-hee and Hyun Jun-ha faced Shin Woo-bin (4th in domestic ranking) and Choi Jae-seong (20th) from Gyeongsan City Hall, and won 2-1 in a close match, taking the gold medal.

In particular, Shin San-hee has been steadily building up her achievements by setting an amazing record of winning five individual singles and doubles titles and three runner-up titles in domestic and international competitions this year. Hyun Jun-ha is also recognized as a promising player with rapid growth, having won the first professional league team event and this doubles title.
In their post-match interview, the two players expressed their aspirations, saying, “We are really happy to have won such a big tournament. We will use this achievement as momentum to train even harder and become players representing Korean tennis.”
Meanwhile, through this tournament, Korean professional tennis once again confirmed its two goals of expanding the base of players and enhancing skills. An official from the federation said, “We will continue to hold tournaments in the future to provide a venue for more players to be active.”
