The games were divided into categories based on various types of disabilities, such as physical, visual, hearing, and intellectual disabilities, and were held for each age group, and the players competed fiercely, showing off their skills.
Choi Gwang-yong, the president of the Cheonan City Disabled Swimming Federation, said, “We will prepare for next year’s competition more systematically so that it can become a festival where all participants can fully demonstrate their skills and enjoy themselves,” and added, “I hope that this competition will become an opportunity to expand into an Asian and international competition and lead the development of disabled swimming.”
Park Gwang-sun, the director of the Cheonan City Disabled Sports Association, also expressed his will to promote disabled sports, saying, “We will continue to grow the competition so that more people can enjoy disabled sports and create positive memories.”
Cheonan City plans to use this competition as a springboard to continue expanding and supporting sports for the disabled.
