Uijeongbu City's representative b-boy group produces national breaking team members

Uijeongbu City (Mayor Kim Dong-geun)’s representative b-boy team (leader Hwang Jeong-woo) achieved outstanding results at the ‘2024 Breaking K Final Competition’ held at SBS Prism Tower in Seoul on November 17, raising the pride of Uijeongbu City.

This competition was the final selection for the 2025 national breaking team hosted by the Korea Dance Sports Federation, and was a place where talented B-boys and B-girls from all over the country competed fiercely.

Kim Jong-ho, a member of the Uijeongbu City team who competed in the general b-boy division, unfortunately lost in the semifinals, but won the 3rd and 4th place match and was selected as a national team member. Kang Kyung-ho, a member, came in 7th place, leaving something to be desired, but he promised to try again next year. Kim Chae-rim, a member of the b-girl division, came in 4th place and was selected as a reserve member of the national team.

Kim Jong-ho, a member of the team, said, “I am very happy to be a national representative again after three years since 2022,” and added, “I would like to thank Uijeongbu City for supporting me so that I could focus on preparing for the competition. I will make Uijeongbu City’s name shine on the world stage.”

Uijeongbu City’s representative B-boy group, with support from the city, is actively carrying out B-boy education and performance activities for local residents and youth, and is contributing greatly to establishing Uijeongbu City as a center of breakdancing culture.
