At the 18th National Wrestling Championships held on the 24th, Guro-gu wrestling team’s Jung Yong-seok won a gold medal in the men’s 70kg class, and Kang Dae-gyu won a silver medal in the 92kg class.

In the ‘2025 National Team 1st Selection Competition’ held on the 25th and 26th, Jeong Yong-seok of the men’s 70kg class withdrew from the semifinals due to injury and won a bronze medal, while Kang Dae-gyu of the 92kg class won a silver medal in the finals.
In the F70kg final of the General Championships, Jeong Yong-seok won a landslide victory over Samsung Life Insurance’s Kim Cheol-song with a score of 12:1, putting on a spectacular performance that drew admiration from viewers, given the short and concentrated nature of wrestling matches.

Jeong Yong-seok has been a member of the Guro-gu Office wrestling team since 2020 and has established his position solely based on his skills.
Also, despite his shoulder injury, Kang Dae-gyu gave it his all in the F92kg final against Ulsan Nam-gu Office’s Lim Hak-soo, but unfortunately lost, leaving something to be desired. However, it was a match that showed the skills he had built up over time, his own fighting skills, and a solid structure.
Meanwhile, Coach Jeong Sun-won, who was appointed as the new commander in January of this year, will continue to lead the team in 2025 and reorganize the team by filling in vacant positions. After that, the Guro-gu Office wrestling team plans to enter training camp under Coach Jeong Sun-won, aiming for the ’43rd Chairman’s Cup National Wrestling Competition’ to be held in March of next year.
