This project focuses on four areas: strengthening the competitiveness of livestock farms, creating an eco-friendly livestock environment, preventing infectious diseases through livestock quarantine, and supplying high-quality livestock products to school meals.
First, 4.53 billion won will be invested in the livestock competitiveness enhancement project. This project focuses on increasing the competitiveness of farms by supporting the expansion of livestock breeding base and the development of livestock product brands.
In addition, 2.86 billion won has been allocated to quarantine projects to prevent livestock infectious diseases such as highly pathogenic avian influenza (AI) and African swine fever (ASF), minimizing damage caused by livestock diseases and helping farms manage their operations stably.
1.98 billion won has been set aside for support funds to improve the environment for eco-friendly livestock farming. This is a project to create a more hygienic and efficient livestock environment and minimize environmental problems.
In addition, we plan to invest 2.65 billion won to supply school meals with excellent livestock products produced locally, thereby providing students with safe and high-quality meals.
Livestock farmers can apply by selecting a support area that matches their livestock type and farm breeding conditions, and applications will be accepted until February 7. Farmers who wish to apply should visit the administrative welfare center in the town or township (or district office for dong areas) in charge of the livestock farm location and submit an application.
City officials said, “We hope that this support project will provide practical help to livestock farmers who have been experiencing many difficulties due to recent heavy snow damage and rising raw material prices,” and “We will continue to work to establish a systematic system to supply high-quality livestock products to citizens.”
This support project is expected to alleviate the difficulties of the local livestock industry and contribute to providing citizens with safe livestock products by creating an eco-friendly and sustainable livestock industry environment.
