Geumsan County is encouraging people to apply for the 2025 automobile tax advance payment system and urges residents not to miss the opportunity to receive tax benefits . The advance payment system is a system that allows you to reduce your tax burden by applying the statutory deduction rate when paying your automobile tax for the year at once .
In particular , if you apply for an annual payment in January, you can enjoy a 5% deduction on the automobile tax for February to December excluding the January portion , effectively giving you a discount of 4.57% .

To apply for an annual tax payment, call or visit the Finance Department of Geumsan County Office or the town / district administrative welfare center to receive a notice , or apply and pay online through Wetax (www.wetax.go.kr) .
For vehicles that have already applied for annual payment last year, a notice of the deducted amount will be sent without a separate application procedure . However, if the vehicle’s title has been transferred or a new vehicle has been acquired, a new annual payment application is required .
Payments can be made via virtual accounts , credit cards , and automated teller machines (ATMs) , and it is more convenient to use Withtax and the Financial Settlement Center Giro service . However, automatic transfer is not supported .
A military official said , “ The automobile tax advance payment system is a good system that reduces the financial burden on vehicle owners who pay their taxes in a lump sum in advance, ” and added, “ Since the deduction benefits may be reduced if the payment deadline is missed, we ask for residents’ active participation . ”
