Yongin Special City is recruiting students for the 12th regular education and 3rd long-term education at Giheung Lifelong Learning Center to expand lifelong learning opportunities for its citizens. With various courses and benefits provided, high interest from citizens is expected.

Yongin Special City announced that it will recruit students for the 12th regular education and 3rd long-term education at Giheung Lifelong Learning Center for three days from the 7th to the 9th. This recruitment will be conducted for a total of 499 people in 38 courses in various fields such as cooking, technology application, information technology, liberal arts, culture and arts, and qualification acquisition.
The educational program consists of ▲5 courses in the cooking field (e.g., ‘Home Baking’), ▲6 courses in the practical technology field (e.g., ‘Clothing Recycling Reform and Repair’), ▲5 courses in the information field (e.g., ‘Making Your Own Videos with Your Smartphone’), ▲5 courses in the humanities field (e.g., ‘Auction Procedures and Rights Analysis’), ▲11 courses in the culture and arts field (e.g., ‘Handwriting Design Calligraphy’), ▲6 courses in the qualification acquisition field (e.g., ‘Pastry Technician’).
Tuition fees range from 30,000 won to 150,000 won depending on the course, and material costs must be paid separately. Parents of families with many children can receive a 30% discount on tuition fees.
The 12th regular training will be held for 12 weeks from January 20 to April 17, and a total of 359 people will be recruited for 26 courses in 6 fields. The 3rd long-term training will be held for 20 weeks from January 20 to June 17, and 140 people will be recruited for 12 courses in 3 fields.
Any Yongin Special Citizen over the age of 19 can apply, and employees of companies with addresses in the city, overseas Koreans, and married immigrants can also participate. Applications can be made online through the Giheung Lifelong Learning Center website (https://lll.yongin.go.kr/giheung/index.do), and applications can also be made via mobile phone.
Trainees will be selected through a random drawing, and for any remaining courses, additional recruitment will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.
