Goyang Special City is accepting applications for the 2025 monthly rent loan interest support for households with children until January 31. This project is one of Goyang City’s representative childbirth support policies aimed at reducing the housing cost burden of households with children and creating stable living conditions.

This project is in its fourth year, and targets households that have received housing deposit loans from financial institutions among households with children living in Goyang City without a home. The support amount is 1.8% of the loan balance, with a maximum limit of 1 million won per year for up to 4 years, and is supported per child.

The support target is ▲households that gave birth to or adopted a child in 2024 or households that have previously received support ▲households that have registered as residents in Goyang City from the time of child birth (adoption) report to the present ▲households that have registered as residents in the real estate location on the lease agreement ▲households where neither the applicant, spouse, nor children own a home ▲households with an income of 150% or less of the median income. The income criteria will be somewhat relaxed for dual-income couples.

However, in order to prevent duplicate support, recipients of livelihood, medical, and housing benefits, residents of public rental housing, and those who have signed a rental contract with direct blood relatives, beneficiaries of similar housing support projects are excluded from support.

Applications are made by visiting the local administrative welfare center in charge of the address, and applicants must prepare seven types of documents, including an application form, pledge and consent form, resident registration copy, and family relationship certificate.

Goyang City officials said that this support policy will greatly contribute to reducing the economic burden on households with newborns and increasing housing stability, and asked for active participation so that many citizens can benefit.
