Goyang Special City Ilsanseo-gu Health Center announced that it will provide free mobile medical care for Hansen’s disease patients living at home. This project will be carried out every two months, and Hansen’s disease patients living in other cities and counties as well as Goyang City can receive free medical care. Medical staff from the Catholic University of Korea Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital Hansen’s Disease Research Institute will participate to provide skin disease consultations and on-site prescriptions, and the health center plans to contribute to the improvement of Hansen’s disease patients’ welfare in various ways, such as supporting living expenses and medical expenses.

Goyang Special City Ilsanseo-gu Health Center (Director Lee Hyang-sook) announced on the 15th that it will provide free mobile medical treatment for Hansen’s disease patients living at home every two months. This project is a program that supports Hansen’s disease patients living in other cities and counties as well as those living in Goyang City to receive free medical treatment.

The free mobile clinic will be attended by medical professionals from the Catholic University of Korea Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital Hansen’s Disease Research Institute, who will provide consultations on skin diseases and other diseases of Hansen’s disease patients and prescribe medications, painkillers, vitamins, etc. on site. This is designed to provide specialized medical services related to Hansen’s disease and provide practical help in improving the health of Hansen’s disease patients.

Ilsanseo-gu Health Center is focusing on improving the quality of life of Hansen’s disease patients by expanding access to medical services through this free mobile clinic. The health center is not only providing medical services, but also continues to support Hansen’s disease patients in various ways, such as providing living expenses and medical expenses.
