Gyeyang-gu announced that it will continue the ‘Cultural Arts Organization Subsidy Support Project’ this year with the goal of fostering local cultural arts organizations and increasing residents’ enjoyment of culture and arts.
The target of support is a cultural and artistic group (choir, dance, performance, Korean traditional music, percussion, theater, etc.) active in Gyeyang-gu. As of the date of announcement, more than 70% of the members must be registered residents of Gyeyang-gu or have a business location in Gyeyang-gu. In addition, the group must have a record of public service activities in Gyeyang-gu for the past three years.
Selected organizations can receive subsidies to cover costs such as promotional expenses, guest appearance fees, and rental fees for cultural and artistic events (performances, exhibitions, etc.). This system was created to revitalize cultural and artistic activities of organizations and provide richer cultural and artistic content to local communities.
The application period is until January 31st, and applications should be submitted to the Gyeyang-gu Office along with the required documents. After deliberation by the Local Subsidy Management Committee, the support organizations and subsidy amounts will be announced in April.
A former official said, “This project is expected to further activate cultural and artistic activities in the local community and play an important role in helping Gyeyang-gu grow into a cultural and artistic city,” adding, “I hope that many capable organizations will actively support us.”
Detailed information on support and required documents can be found in the notice posted on the Gyeyang-gu Office website.
