The 3 million won donation this time will be used for various welfare projects tailored to the characteristics of the region, such as eliminating welfare blind spots and supporting low-income vulnerable groups through the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea.
Ji Sang-min, the head of Hoecheon 2-dong, said, “It is very meaningful that we can contribute to the healthy life of local residents and to the spread of a culture of sharing through the Sharing Stairs,” and “We will use this donation to promote welfare projects that can provide practical help to our neighbors in need.” He continued, “I hope to continue to actively utilize the Sharing Stairs with local residents in the future to continue the values of health and sharing.”
This donation ceremony is evaluated as a meaningful event that showed how the voluntary participation and donations of local residents can lead to local welfare. Hoecheon 2-dong plans to continue to carry out various welfare projects for the local community together with its residents in the future.
