Jongno-gu conducted an emergency inspection of the site of the fire at the Jangsa-dong machine tool store that occurred on the 5th. This inspection was designed to accurately determine the extent of the damage and listen to the concerns of small business owners.
As the damage caused by the fire was significant, Jongno-gu decided to provide emergency recovery expenses of 2 million won to each business. In addition, after going through the fact-finding and verification process, it plans to provide disaster relief loans for small and medium-sized businesses at a low interest rate of 2.0%.
This support measure is evaluated as a practical measure to ease the economic burden of small business owners who were directly hit by the fire and to help them quickly return to normal. Jongno-gu plans to supplement the support measures by additionally collecting opinions from small business owners.
Jongno-gu District Mayor Jeong Moon-heon, who inspected the fire scene, promised effective support to small business owners and expressed his will to minimize economic difficulties.
Jongno-gu plans to strengthen preventive measures to prevent similar situations from recurring by establishing a rapid and systematic response system in the event of a future disaster.
In addition, Jongno-gu plans to devise various support measures for damage recovery and strive to provide practical assistance through cooperation with related organizations.
It is expected that this fire damage recovery support measure will play a positive role in the revitalization of the small business owners in the Jangsa-dong machine tool shopping district and the commercial district.
