Jung-gu, Seoul (Mayor Gil-seong Kim) will operate a winter vacation customized college entrance program for prospective high school freshmen at the Jung-gu Education Support Center from 1 PM to 5 PM on Saturday, January 18. This program was designed to help prospective high school freshmen successfully adapt to high school, including overall high school life, career planning, entrance exam strategies, and study plan establishment.

Jung-gu is operating a ‘Winter Vacation Customized College Entrance Program’ to help prospective high school freshmen understand high school life and develop systematic study strategies during the winter vacation. This program will be held at the Jung-gu Education Support Center on January 18, and will provide practical information on high school life and entrance exam preparation over a total of four sessions.
The lecture was given by consultant Ko Jun-woo, an education expert at Deorux Education Group and the representative of Expected Education. He helps prospective high school freshmen to relieve vague anxiety they may experience during high school life and develop systematic study strategies.
The first period covers the overall structure of high school life and the assessment system. Through this, students are expected to gain a greater understanding of their new environment and gain confidence.
The second hour will focus on career planning, with subject selection strategies suited to the era of the high school credit system and learning design methods tailored to target universities and majors.
The third period focuses on managing internal grades and practical study methods. In particular, it introduces strategies for preparing for the CSAT according to the 2028 college entrance exam reform plan and efficient study methods for preparing for internal grades and the CSAT at the same time.
The last period will be spent understanding the changing college entrance system and making a specific individual study plan. There will be advice on diagnosing your strengths and weaknesses, setting priorities for each subject, and forming proper study habits.
Through this program, Jung-gu plans to support prospective high school freshmen to establish practical study plans during winter vacation and build confidence in new environments.

Meanwhile, the college counseling center in Jung-gu Education Support Center provides 1:1 customized college consulting throughout the year for all grades from elementary school to high school.
Kim Gil-seong, the mayor of Jung-gu, expressed his hope that this program would be an opportunity for students to design their own three years of high school and work toward their goals, and that he would actively support prospective first-year high school students so that they can make a new start with confidence.
